Edward A. Rieman Scholarship

Will be awarded to individuals who have demonstrated volunteerism, service to community, good citizenship, strong character, and patriotism to our country.
A special interest is noted for anyone planning to major in education and become a teacher, but is not required.

Participant must be interested in being a motorcycle mechanic.
Participant must submit a two minute home video or DVD demonstrating: "Why I should win the prestigious MMI/Jeremy McGrath Scholarship"
Golf Foundation of Putnam County Annual Scholarship
Deadline--April 7, 2006
Requirements-graduating senior of high school that uses one of the three golf courses located in Putnam County or is a regular player at one of those courses, must be scheduled to attend a college, university, or technical school, maintained a GPA of 2.5 or above and must be a citizen of the United States.
Complete the application and write a one page essay on "What the Game of Golf Means to Me".
Awards-Four one-time scholarships of $500.
The BP Scholarship
Deadline: April 12, 2006
For young women who have a profound interest in chemistry
Will be awarded on basis of scholastic achievement and participation in scientific activities and community service.
Presidential Freedom Scholarship
Deadline--April 13, 2006
Must be a high school senior who has not yet been awarded this scholarship.
You must have completed at lest 100 hours of community service within 12 months prior to applying.

Offers four $500 scholarships per year exclusively to students who will become teachers.
Union Bank Scholarship

Not a recipient of another local scholarship affiliated with the school of $1,000 or more

Requirements--minimum of 3.5 GPA and pursuing a degree in the field of education
It is a one year, non-renewable scholarship based on financial need, academic merit and extracurricular activities.
First in My Family Scholarship
Deadline--April 15, 2006
Open to Hispanic-American students who are the first in their family to attend college, and have financial need.
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Scholarships range from $500-5000.\
Leipsic Veterans Memorial Scholarship
Deadline--April 15, 2006
Must be a graduating senior and a child of a member of the following three posts: #287, #57, or #9547
2.0 GPA for the first semester of college is required.
Students will be judged on academics, as well as extra-curricular activities, community service, school involvement and their score on American Legion Americanism Test.
American Legion Charles Wagner Scholarship
Deadline--April 15, 2006
Must be a graduating senior at Leipsic HS.
For students who have not received another local scholarship affiliated with the school
Involved in school and community activities.
Larina Place Memorial Scholarship
Deadline--April 15, 2006
Requirements-- Graduating senior of Leipsic, have GPA of 2.5 or higher, accepted to 4 year college in the fall, have financial need and not be a recipient of any other major scholarship, complete application and school activity checklist, submit FAFSA analysis listing EFC or participate in free/reduced lunch program, submit official transcript, write a short essay on how you plan to use your talents to better the world in which we live.
The Knuevan Scholarship Fund
Deadline--April 15, 2006
Requirements--Graduating senior of Leipsic, have GPA of 2.75 or higher, accepted to 4 year college in the fall, Complete the Knueven application including short paragraphs, Submit transcript with the first 3.5 years of high school credits, complete the school and community activity checklist with an advisor's or supervisor's signature.
Awards-Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded annually, one to a senior boy and one to a senior girl.
Harvey Eagle Trust Scholarship
Deadline--April 15, 2006
Requirements--Graduating senior of LHS and minimum GPA of 3.0, be accepted to a 4 year college preferably Ohio State University, complete scholarship application, including short paragraphs, submit a transcript with the first 3.5 years of high school credits., File the FAFSA and submit a copy of the report listing the EFC with the application.
Awards--$1,200-$1,500 renewable for 4 years.
Leipsic Board of Education
Deadline--April 15, 2006
Requirements--Be a graduating senior of LHS, GPA of 2.0 or higher, attend post-secondary school toward a certificate, licensure, 3-year or 4-year degree program, Complete an application, provide a short paragraph regarding applicant's goals and future plans (150 words minimum), complete activity list or attach a resume.
Leipsic Education Memorial Scholarship
Deadline--April 15, 2006
Requirements--student must enroll in the field of education in the college of their choice, complete the application, have a minimum of 2.5 GPA, evidence of community/school service, write an essay on why you want to be a teacher, two letters of recommendation.
Awards--One $500 and One $250
Ward Academic College Scholarship

Requirements--Be a graduating senior of LHS, accepted to a 4-year college in the fall, minimum 2.75 GPA, complete application including short paragraphs, submit official transcript, complete activity checklist with advisor's or supervisor's signature
Dr. Mack Schaffer Scholar/Athlete
Deadline--April 21, 2006
Requirements--Graduating senior who has earned a varsity athletic letter, minimum 3.0 GPA, attend an institution of higher learning this coming fall, active in school sponsored activities.
Award--$100 and plaque for the male and female winner
Putnam Soil and Water freshmen scholarship
Deadline--April 26, 2006
Requirements--applicants must enroll in agriculture, natural science, environmental science or a closely related field.
Award--$500
GM Engineering Scholarship for Minority Students
Deadline--July 15, 2006
Awards- $2000 scholarship to qualified minority students who are enrolled or are planning to enroll as an engineering major leading to a bachelor's degree. Eligible for renewal of scholarship through their senior year if they maintain a grade point average at or above 3.0 that is required.
Requirements- Must be a minority student pursuing fulltime studies leading to a bachelor's degree at a college approved by LULAC and GM. G.P.A. of at least 3.5, score at least a 23 on the ACT test 970 on the SAT, must major in a course leading to a professional career in engineering.
