Leipsic Local School District is finalizing plans for the Classroom Facilities Assistance Program, the third and final phase of a building project, which includes replacement of all classrooms, both elementary and high school offices, guidance areas, and a K-12 media center. The project is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2010.
Phase One of the building project was completed in 2006 and includes the auditeria, the food prep area, an auxiliary gym with locker rooms, band and vocal music rooms.
Phase Two called for the complete separation of the 1963 addition. The existing varsity gym, varsity locker rooms, central administration offices, and several classrooms have a totally independent heating system, electrical service, and fully insulated roof. The separation project was completed in the Fall of 2009.
Leipsic students at all grade levels will be starting new traditions in a stated-of-the-art K-12 building beginning in the Fall of 2011.
